Today was the science fair and I got a medal! Okay fine, everyone did but they liked my project! The girl beside me had a group of people at hers and I was sort of annoyed until some of them shifted position and faced me, asking me complicated questions about my project. By the way, it was the solar car in one of my previous posts. When the lady came to give me my medal, she told me to demonstrate. Right then, my wires decided to go bonkers bonkers. She stood there watching me explain how the car worked and then watched me struggle for about 1 whole minute then finally said, "Oh, I get what you mean!" then she placed down the bunch of medals, said, "Thank you for Participating in the annual Millstone River School Science Fair!" and then she placed the medal around my neck and I said thanks. She left after that and she didn't even get to see the car working, even though she probably saw me demonstrating how the car moved to the group of kids from my class when she passed by me later. I'll post pictures of the medal later, once I actually take pictures of it.

Water Color Pencil Painting
Basically what a water color pencil painting (I'm not really sure if that's what its called!) is is a drawing that's been colored in with water color pencils. Then, I paint with water over the water color pencils with a thin coat of water on each little spot. (Example: A petal, or a leaf, all painted separately)
Step 1 - Draw and Outline
Step 2 - Color with water color pencils
Step 3 - Paint with water, add a background and frame.
My First Barbie Outfit
I made an outfit for my barbie using materials from JOANN Fabrics. I even made the background and it's supposed to look like a red carpet.....I don't think it does. The last one is a bit fuzzy...
I made this a while ago (maybe in January or something...) and I forgot where I put the doll, so.....
I designed it and I sewed it together and my mom said it was too loose and she showed me how to re-sew it with her sewing machine. It took forever to sew the straps on and my mom used the machine to sew on the velcro strips on the back.
PS- I got a fashion sewing kit from my mom for my birthday last year and I figured that I should actually make something rather that just staring at the pretty fabrics...
So here is the outcome! It's the first time I sewed anything together and I guess I did a pretty good job, don't you think so too?
